Where children are nurtured through play, connection and care.
Welcome to Rosebank Preschool, a small community preschool set in the rolling hinterland of Bundjalung Country. For over 30 years, families have gathered here in the century-old Rosebank Hall — surrounded by gardens, trees, and rural beauty. We provide a warm, home-like environment where children aged 2 to 6 learn through curiosity, creativity and connection. Together, we celebrate the joy of discovery, diversity and the beauty of belonging.
Rosebank Preschool acknowledges the Widjabul Wia-bal people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we learn and play.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
We believe every child deserves a joyful, respectful start to their learning journey. Our intentional Pedagogy of Play gives children the opportunity to explore, imagine and create at their own pace.
Learning develops through relationships - between children, families, educators, the community and the natural world - in a setting that is warm, familiar and filled with wonderment.
Through play, connection and care, children build confidence, empathy and a lifelong love of learning.
OUR PROGRAM
Our indoor–outdoor program flows with the rhythm of the day, inviting children to move freely between spaces of imagination, creation and rest.
We follow the Early Years Learning Framework, blending intentional teaching with opportunities for children to simply be.
Children engage in project work, nature play and real-life experiences — from gardening and cooking to caring for the space around them. These everyday moments foster independence, responsibility and joy.
Each area of our environment is designed to inspire curiosity and allow every child to learn in their own unique way, acknowledging the environment as the ‘third teacher’.
We have a highly qualified, experienced and consistent teaching team.
Together, they create a calm, supportive atmosphere where every child is known and valued.
Rosebank Preschool is proudly administered by a Parent and Community ‘Board’, ensuring our values of care, inclusion and community remain at the heart of everything we do.
